El Paso Bridges Academy serves the El Paso community as the foremost authority on dyslexia, ADHD,
Asperger's Syndrome and other learning disabilities.
Bridges Academy has been an important part of educating parents and educators on learning differences.
Bridges has partnered with other educational and non-profit organizations such as:
- UTEP Masters Program for Occupational Therapy; UTEP students
give training and create programs for studdents in need of
occupational therapy.
- Autism - support efforts to raise awareness.
- Special Olympics - Support efforts to raise awareness and
participation.
- ADDPowerDoers - present workshops at EPCC for parents and
educators
- EPCC - Present workshops for EPCC students.
- Region XIX Educational Center - Present workshops on dyslexia /
ADHD.
- UTEP School of Nursing - Adult ADD/HD support group.
Bridges Academy has partnered with various civil organizations in order
to help create a better quality of life for the citizens of El Paso.
- Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.
- Northeast Coalition.
- Ft. Bliss Educational Fair.
- Health/Science Fairs throughout the city.
- Americorp - Health fairs throughout the city.
- Angel Tree - Provide gifts for children whose parents are in the
penal system.
Bridges Academy will continue to be an important
contributor to the education of Learning Different students and thier parents through active
community involvement and assistance.
